"Practical Acupuncture for Podiatrists" has been approved by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists Ireland for their Acupuncture Certification which is required for your Insurance to cover the use of acupuncture in the treatment of Podiatric conditions. This workshop has also been approved by SOCAP UK.

This workshop brings together Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, western Dry Needling and other acupuncture techniques into a practical system for use by Podiatrists in the treatment of conditions commonly being presented.

These techniques will supplement your current treatment protocols and sometimes even replace them. You will also be shown how to use acupuncture for treating conditions that you currently have nothing to offer. If you already have your acupuncture certification this workshop will still add extra practical techniques to take your skills into a wider scope.

You will also be shown how to incorporate acupuncture into your treatment protocols such that you will be able to immediately use what you have learnt in the workshop. In fact, you will be encouraged to do so as this is the way to become adept at using new skills.

The workshop will be presented by Mr Shane Toohey.

Shane Toohey, as a practicing Podiatrist and orthotic laboratory consultant, gained his Acupuncture Certification in 1991 and has since then been refining the techniques used in treating podiatric conditions.
There is a methodology for combining acupuncture and your usual podiatric skills to produce enhanced results.

Shane has been teaching the use of Acupuncture in Podiatry for a number of years and orthotic therapy for almost 20 years.

Graduates of this workshop will be able to register for the one day workshop "Acupuncture for Advanced Podiatrists" which will be provided for subsequent visits to the UK and Ireland.
